Williams - Maryland moved up Monday to No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 - the team's highest ranking this season - and learned that senior guard Greivis Vasquez has become the first Terrapin in seven years to be named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team.Maryland, riding a seven-game winning streak heading into this week's ACC tournament, also placed power forward Jordan Williams - fourth in the ACC in rebounding at 8.3 per game - on the conference All-Rookie Team.
Ravens trade for wide receiver Boldin
anquanboldin.jpgThe Ravens made a bold move to improve their passing game, trading for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin.It is believed the Ravens sent third- and fourth-round picks to the Cardinals in exchange for Boldin and a fifth-round pick. According to ESPN, Boldin has agreed to a new four-year, $28 million contract.

The game against the Blue Devils is always the most anticipated matchup on Maryland's home schedule. This season, however, it's far more important than most. Soon after the fans in the sold-out Comcast Center salute departing seniors Milbourne, Greivis Vasquez and Eric Hayes on Wednesday night, the 22nd-ranked Terps will turn their attention toward avenging an earlier loss to No. 4 Duke and gaining a share of first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Mickolio Makes His Pitch To Stick With Orioles

Ravens Hire Monachino to Coach LBs
The Ravens officially added Ted Monachino to coach their outside linebackers.Monachino spent the last four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, heading their defensive line since 2008. He was the Jaguars’ assistant defensive line coach from 2006-07.Ravens head coach John Harbaugh cited a solid resume, positive referrals and a stellar interview as reasons for bringing Monachino on staff.
No cause for alarm about Roberts' back, he and Orioles say
brob.jpgHerniated disk expected to heal by end of spring When Brian Roberts first heard the words "herniated disk," he acknowledged that he was frightened. But the two-time All Star second baseman and the Orioles have had their concerns eased and Roberts is not expected to miss extended time. Roberts reported to spring training camp Monday and conceded that he was diagnosed with a small herniated disk in his back about a month ago. However, the injury will not require surgery and is not expected to have lingering effects besides Roberts' taking it slow early in spring training.

The golf superstar apologized to his family, friends and wife at a tightly-controlled event at the clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., home of the PGA Tour."I want to say to each one of you simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for the selfish and irresponsible behavior I engaged in," Woods said. "Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage from my behavior... We have a lot to discuss. However, what we say to each other will stay between the two of us."
